BERKELEY, CA – Slingfin, Inc. today announces the premier of its first products on the world’s highest peak – Mount Everest.

Slingfin’s BFD (7-meter dome), LFD (5-meter dome) and New One (featuring Slingfin’s patent pending WebTruss technology) will all make their expedition debuts with some of the world’s most respected mountaineers.

In honor of the tradition of conducting a puja, a Tibetan Buddhist ceremony of blessing of expeditions prior to summit attempts of Mount Everest, Slingfin will host its own puja on April 2, 2011 at 1:30 pm.  Lama Tenzing from the Palpung Lungtok Choeling Monestary in San Jose will perform the ceremony and provide blessing to Slingfin on its journey as a new and innovative creator of expedition gear and clothing.

April 2nd is an auspicious day in the Tibetan calendar for puja ceremonies and Slingfin is very pleased that Lama Tenzing will lead the ceremony and offer blessings of good fortune to our new home located in the birthplace of the Outdoor Industry in the US – Gilman Street in Berkeley.

The puja will be followed by beverages and snacks for guests along with an open house and product tours all afternoon.  Members of the press are kindly requested to respond to our puja invitation online.
