Bridgford Ready to Eat Sandwiches

One of the toughest parts about camping and hiking for long periods of time is finding what you are going bring for food. Is it light and will it fit in the pack? Will it fill me up? Will it give me the energy I need to conquer? Bridgford makes a great product that kept me satisfied for all of those questions.

This past fall, I took a couple days with some friends and hiked the narrows in Zion National Park in southern Utah. In the fall, it is a popular and incredibly scenic 16-mile jaunt through water and red rock canyons, I highly recommend it. We planned a simple drop off, hike, camp, hike out, and pick up two-day trip. We also planned some canyoneering around it, so I didn’t have a lot of backpack space. I like to keep it simple, so I threw in two boxes of Bridgford Ready To Eat Sandwiches. Of course I took them out of the box, and they fit in any nook and cranny I could find. The packaging they are in is very durable, so I didn’t have to worry about it getting everywhere when the backpack got squished as we tossed everything in the car like true college students. The other great thing is it packs like beef jerky, you don’t have to worry about keeping it cool or it getting too hot. As we hiked through the narrows, my friends pulled out some trail mix and protein bars to keep them satisfied. I admit, I am usually on the same boat because of all the complications of packing. I whipped out my Bridgford sandwiches, and everybody got pretty jealous. I also don’t usually worry about taste of camping food because, lets be honest, when you’re roughing it, who cares right? Well, if you can have something tasty, even better.

I shared a couple sandwiches with others, and we all agreed that these are very worth bringing on backpacking trips. The Bridgford Ready To Eat Sandwiches are durable, they pack easy, they are not sensitive to temperature, they are filling, and best of all, they taste great. I really think anyone who is planning on any trip, short or long, could benefit from trying these things out. I know I did.
