Shark Pack

Even though we all say that we want to get away on an adventure without any electronics, how often does that really happen? Some of us have business that we have to stay in contact with while others may want to just be able to talk to friends or family. Realistically, there are quite a few electronic things that travellers use often.

Cameras to capture the experience, music to stay motivated, GPS to stay oriented, or just having a phone turned off in case of emergency are among some things we may take on such adventures. No matter the situation, what happens when you need to keep those items safe in wet conditions? Fathom It Distributing has a great waterproof case that is made just for that, the Shark Pack.

I recently took a backpacking trip into a canyon that required going neck deep into the river at times. I am an aspiring photographer, so I wanted to have my camera accessible at the turn of every corner. It is a pain in the butt to take off my pack and put it back in a safe place that wont get wet again and again. Fortunately, I had the Shark Pack to put it in. I wore it around my neck, which means it went in the water with me multiple times, but was easy to get to at every moment I needed it. The case really works, and is easy to get in and out of. I was worried because other packs I have had kept a lot of moisture inside, which wouldn’t be very good for any electronic device. But my cell phone and camera made it through the whole trip, and multiple dips, without any problems.

I am not advanced enough in technology yet to have experimented with an iphone, but part of what Fathom claims for this product is the capability of using a touch screen and a clear sound through the case if you wanted use it in wet conditions.
