Saucony Kinvara 3

This shoe has been awesome. When I first tried this shoe on it had the feel of a nice sock. The way it hugged my foot was very comfortable. One reason this shoe has such a great fit and feel is thanks to Saucony’s FlexFilm technology. FlexFilm is a lightweight yet strong material which allows for fewer layers of material in the upper which in turn gives the shoe a seamless, flexible feel.

The FlexFlim upper really does adapt to my foot and provides a seamless feel as Saucony claims. By reducing material and adding FlexFilm Saucony can save weight with this shoe. Weighing only 7.7 oz you might think it would be more of a racing flat but I’ve found that you can use this shoe as an everyday trainer.

One thing that Saucony has updated on the Kinvara 3 is the outsole. They have added XT-900 rubber to enhance durability in high wear areas. This is a premium carbon rubber outsole material that offers exceptional traction and high-wear properties. Also updated is a beveled heel and fully decoupled crashpad which reduce lever arm for a better transition to midfoot. If you wear a Neutral shoe this shoe could be for you. It has great padding and has held up well on 5-8 mile runs. I weigh 175 pound and found this shoe to perform great. This shoe provides a minimalist design yet awesome support.
