Brooks Glycerin 11 Running Shoes

If you are looking for a shoe that stays true to what it is intended for, then you could never go wrong in a pair of Glycerins. These shoes are built to put many miles on them and a ride that will keep your feet and legs fresh. For those of you that have worn the Glycerin 10, I think you will love the updates and upgrades that have went into the 11.

brooks glycerin11soleThe first thing to know about the Glycerin 11 is that it is designed for the neutral runner. If you are looking for a supportive feel, look onward. One of the differences between the 10 and 11 is that Brooks remove the shank from the midsole in the Glycerin 11. Brooks continues to use their Brooks DNA technology to give this shoe a more responsive feel and I believe a nice and cushy ride. Brooks DNA is engineered from what’s called a non-Newtonian liquid, this midsole technology responds to the amount of force placed on the foot and disperses the pressure, providing just the right amount of resiliency.

Brooks has also updated the upper of the Glycerin 11 using what they call 3D Fit Print. This construction reduces weight while giving a great fit. One idea behind this is to help reduce the places where you might get a hotspots.

This is not you ultra-light trainer but a solid shoe great for any distance. I am a bit of heavier runner (175lb) and this shoe has been good to my body. One thing that I noticed first off about the Glycerin 11 is the colors. Not that it is the most important part of the shoe, but Brooks has kept up with all the new trends with keeping the shoe bright and flashy. I think Brooks has created a great shoe for all kinds of runners.
